The Story...

Let it be said that necessity really is the mother of invention!

In the early 1990's, unemployed and the holidays rapidly approaching, Susan Kanter the ever so meticulous President and Founder of Boca Bons® decided to make homemade gifts. With her love of cooking and baking, Susan retreated to her kitchen and worked tirelessly with a personal challenge to create the most decadent mouth watering dessert on earth. Her experimentation with the best ingredients she could find worldwide enabled Susan to emerge triumphantly with the recipe of success... the chocolate creation known as Boca Bons®.

Boca Bons® became an instant success. A decadent combination of truffle, fudge, and brownie all rolled into one, appeals to the most discerning chocolate lovers around the world. One gift was given to a friend who worked at a large law firm. He kept the chocolates on his desk for others to sample and in two weeks hundreds of orders poured in. Susan then decided to sell to local shops where they too sold out. Because of its unique taste people began to ask for Boca Bons® by name.

With the success of her chocolates, Susan directed her attentions to creating spectacular packaging for her products. Her penchant for fashion and design began in her early twenties when she went to New York as a fashion designer. Inspired by Julia Robert's polka dot dress in "Pretty Woman", Susan came up with the polka dot theme still a signature look for Boca Bons® today. Little did she know at that time that she would be designing some of the most admired and trend setting chocolate packaging in the industry.

Over the years customers have been asking Susan to develop more products. She recently unveiled Boca Bons® "Cookies with Character" line. "Cookies with Character" are hand decorated Oreo® cookies enrobed in milk, dark and white chocolate, transforming them into a delicious and creative gift. The product line also includes customized cookies in four color brilliance perfect for corporate customers, wedding favors, or any special occasion. Complimenting the cookie line are Susan's beautifully decorated pretzels packaged in the gorgeous Boca Bons® tradition.

In 2010, Boca Bons® moved into a new facility with five enrobing lines and the ability to create and roll out many new products in the coming years. The combined manufacturing and distribution facilities exceed 32,000 square feet, and Susan will soon be debuting a line of Boca Bons® truffles and assorted chocolates.
